Delhi University (DU) Second Cut Off List Published

Delhi University has declared the Second Cut Off List for the admissions onto various colleges of Delhi ints various courses of Science, Commerce and Arts. The second round of admissions, to be made according to this list, will commence on June 28 and end on June 30.

First and Second cut off lists can be checked on the official website of DU on http://www.du.ac.in/admissions/2010/ug/ug10/cutoff.html

The third cut-off list is expected to be released late on July 1.

10 colleges which are ARSD, Bharti, JDM, JMC, Kamla Nehru, Lady Shri Ram, Ramjas, Satyawati (Evening), Shaheed Bhagat Singh (Day and Evening) and SRCC have already closed the admissions for general category students to BCom (Hons) courses in the first round of admissions.

The situation with BSc (Hons) Chemistry is also alarming. Twelve of the 19 colleges that offer the course have closed admissions, as against five colleges by the second list last year.

Hindu College failed to fill seats in any humanities course this year, while Ramjas has filled eight of its 17 courses — four each in Arts and Science. Last year, Ramjas had closed only one course after the first round of admissions.

As the bar of marks keeps going high, there is very less space available for the average students like I used to be, however no admission in DU is not the end of the world, there are number of other creative courses in various other streams which can curve you like anything.
