Vijay TV Airtel Super Singer Junior 2 Winner is Alka Ajith

The 5 finalists, Alka (SSJ 02), Nithyashree (SSJ 11), Shravan (SSJ 15) Roshan (SSJ 19) and Srikanth (SSJ 20) battled for the grand glory to win the Airtel Super Singer Junior 2 title.

Finalists performed in front of a 10,000 audiences. The TRP of Vijay TV touched the sky because of Super Singer Junior 2.

This Show has become so prestigious that leading singers like Unni Menon, Unni Krishnan, Sadhana Sargam, Manicka Vinayagam, Sadhana Sargam, Harish Ragavendran, Pop Shalini, Madhu Balakrishnan, Suchitra, Naresh Iyer, Vijay Prakash, Tippu, Kuppuswamy, Anitha Kuppuswamy, Shwetha Mohan, Madhimutha, Charulatha Mani, Suvi Suresh; Carnatic vocalists like Padmavibhushan Balamurali Krishna, Nithyashree Mahadevan, Sowmya, Veeramani Raju; Legendary music composers and singers like M.S.Viswanathan, P.B.Srinivas, L.R.Easwari, P.Suseela, Jency and many others become part of this grand musical show.

In the end, everbody favorite, the much-talented Alka Ajith wins the show as anticipated, where as Shrikanth wins the most Popular Singer and Roshan and Nithyashree take home the consolation prizes. Sri Nisha and Priyanka win Special Prize of Rs.1 Lac each.

Alka Ajith takes home a villa of whopping Rs.25,00,000 and makes her parents proud as always.

Alka debuted on stage at the age of 2½ years, is a hit with the audiences of ‘ganamelas’, where she sings from her repertoire of 3000 songs. Alka has a family tradition of music. Her grandfather was a noted singer. Her father Ajith is a professional singer and keyboard player. Ajith’s brother Manoj is a guitarist with Yesudas’s troupe. Another uncle of her, Sudhir, is a member of the military orchestra.


This 10 year old singer also has a album against her name which was released back in January, 2008 named "Chakkaramuthu".

Alka, am from Singapore and I have never failed even once to see all your performances....!

I must say this and others dont get me wrong and let me apologies to the people who disagree with me but you have sung much much better than the 2009 senior airtel super singers.....you are a total gift for the india music directors.....waiting to hear your songs in tamil and other language movies.
