Michael Hussey played gem of an innings to knock out Pakistan from T20 World Cup
by Surili Shah
It was one of the most fascinating T20 matches we have ever come across. Good Cricket all around, brilliant innings played by Akmal brothers followed by amazing batting of Brad Haddin, Craig White and Michael Hussey.
Brad Haddin started off positively and departed after scoring 25 off 19, where Craig got the momentum going by scoring 43 off 31 balls with 5 massive sixes and no boundary. Finally came Hussey and finished the proceedings in style by scoring 60 off just 24 balls with 3 fours and 6 sixes.
"I was targeting the short boundaries as well as wanted to hit it with the wind. White played superbly and we needed someone to change the momentum. The Pakistanis played well and we did not know what could we expect. This is the best innings of my life" said Michael Hussey after he was awarded with the player of the match award.
I couldn't agree with him more, he reminded me of Michael Bevan who was always the savior for Australia to bring them the victory from the jaws of defeat.
There would be a Grand Finale now where 2 unbeaten Teams would clash for the cup i.e. Australia Vs. England
