Staff Selection Commission Website, www.ssc.nic.in Down, Unresponsive

Staff Selection Commission results are expected to be announced and there are news that these should have been published on the website of SSC on 18th June, 2010 however their claimed official webiste seems to be down since couple of days.

More than 50000 anxious candidates for various posts of the officers in Central Police Organization have been waiting for these results and when the news come in for results, website doesn't respond.

At the momment, if you would try to access the official website of Staff Selection Commission at www.ssc.nic.in, there would be response or error message Bad Request (Invalid Hostname).

We have tried to contact the authorities who manage the website however there has been no response from them.

More than 5000 vacancies in the various departments and ministries of Central Government would be filled with the declaration of these results.

We will advise the candidates to have patience as they must be working to get this resolved as soon as possible.

this is such a shame for the stinking inefficient work force in the indian government.
a government website which is the face of a most important entity(staff selection commision)
of the country. goes down for more than 24 hrs for technical reasons. The basic reason for this is corruption.so much money is gobbled by ministers and officials,so where do they get funds to purchase new servers to run the website more efficiently???
such a shame thats why our country is called as a Third world shit hole by the developed nations.....when will we end corruption and become a developed country...i don't think it would be possible in a life time....

now had this same incident occured in a developed country like US or UK. the government would have come under extreme critisism...but no one is bothered to look into it in our country...that is why we are still a developing nation and will remain a developing nation for many centuries to come.

I really do not understand the reasons for such a prolonged snag in the system. This is creation amongst the candidates who time & again are looking for the staff selection commission website. There must be a second option for publishing the result like on sscresults.nic.in the old ssc website for results.
