Tha Tamil version of Raavan, Raavanan released on 16 June on 16 screens in Chennai, which got a great response by overwhelming advanced bookings.

Maayajal multiplex in Chennai is the only theater which is showing all the three versions of the movie and they are holding fifty shows per day. Meenakshi Sundaram, Manager of Maayajal, said, “ The booking for Raavanan is phenomenal, nearly 80 percent of the shows have been sold out on the first day of booking.”

The First official premiere of the movie took place on 14 June which was attended by Film Cast and Crew. A R Rahman’s mother and other family members liked the movie so much that they were stunned with the acting skills of Abhi and Ash. Followed by it, its world premiere took place on June 16 in London.

With the hype over the film rising daily, the Bachchans are eager to gauge the audiences response.

This Combination of Abhishek, Aishwarya and Mani Ratnam is not new, earlier this combo rocked the nation with GURU which also got the overwhelming response and perhaps becomes the most successful film of Abhishek Bachchan Career. Joining them this time is Vikram , the superstar of south who took long 20 years to get into Hindi Cinema.

“ In Chennai, life ends by 8 pm. But Mumbai has a different vibe.Its always alive and Mumbaikars have a great fighting spirit. No matter what happens, the city resumes its normal life. I would really love to work here,” says the Chennai star Vikram.
