Delhi Metro Gurgaon Route Starts today

You don't have to shudder the next time you have an appointment in Gurgaon, for the Delhi Metro will start its service to the Haryana city on Monday.

The 14.47- km elevated line will connect Qutub Minar with HUDA City Centre in Gurgaon. The first pair of trains will commence simultaneously from Qutub Minar and HUDA City Centre stations at 8 am.

The distance between the two stations will be covered in 25 minutes.

The maximum fare for the line will be Rs 18 while the minimum rate would be Rs 8. The trains will operate at a frequency of 12 minutes.

But the bad news is that the Gurgaon trains will not be connected to any other line of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) as the remaining section is still under construction.

The Qutub Minar- Central Secretariat section is expected to be ready by the end of July.

The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) will run connecting bus services from the Qutub Minar Metro station to the Central Secretariat Metro station from 6.15 am to 11.45 pm daily.

Once the entire section (HUDA City Centre- Central Secretariat) becomes operational, passengers will be able to reach Millennium City in less than 45 minutes from Connaught Place.
