Kites is the first Indian Cinema Movie which has been released in 3 different languages which is Hindi, English and Spanish. It has also created record by releasing in 2300 screens.The Film has been made with a high budget movie valued at $30 million inclusing the world rights.

The film is free of both subtlety and irony, and it demands of its charismatic stars, Hrithik Roshan and Bárbara Mori, that they act their hearts out with the utmost sincerity. The result is an exhilarating escapist entertainment that plays out like a violent and floridly poetic allegory.

Roshan's Jay is a resourceful Vegas taxi driver from India who has big dreams. When he attracts Gina (Kangana Ranaut), the pretty daughter of a major casino owner, Jay thinks he has it made. But when he encounters Natasha (Barbara Mori), the fiancée of Gina's hotheaded brother Tony (Nick Brown), mutual attraction strikes and soon they are on the run with one hair-raising incident and plot twist following another.

The film would be relased today in India in Hindi for the public and is expected to get the record breaking opening. It will be releasing in Englisg on May 28. English version of the movie would be very different from that of Hindi Version.

Hollywood director Brett Ratner has done the editing for the english version where he has put in the steamy scenes between Roshan and Mori, and cut the Bollywood Speacial Songs.

How did he go about it? “ Nothing was re- shot. I just cut the movie and kept the story. For instance, there was a dance sequence in the movie, but it didnt drive the story forward. So I removed it.” “ I was very nervous about losing it. But Hrithik was on board. When they saw my version, they loved it.” There was also some footage that “ was more racy, more sexuality — stuff that would appeal to international audiences. But they didnt use it. When I was looking at the footage, I said, wow, we have to put this in the movie.” Hrithik and Barbara are not “ US film stars. But they have an appeal and a chemistry that works. I think its going to be great and that is why I feel so proud to be part of it,” Ratner said.
